Factors regulating human sebum production in acne

The goal of our research is to determine the factors that regulate lipid production in the skin and sebaceous glands. In this regard we are investigating the role of peroxisome proliferator activated receptors (PPARs) and steroid hormones in cell culture models of human sebocytes and keratinocytes.
